Playing Catch up...

Months ago i promised my self i would post our biggest (funnest) family memories on this blog in hopes of never forgetting them, but really how could we, and really how could i think i could possibly narrow down whole months full of memories with the boys in to a couple of posts.
Days have rushed by, God has reminded us he is in control :0) and i have left this blog in the dust.
For the sake of feeling completely over whelmed i am going to start this game of catch up with December.
December 1, 2011
Branden, myself, the kids, my dad Bryon, Sandy and Jake all piled in a car and headed to Burbank, where we would stay the night and catch a flight to Portland OR in the am.
That first two hour flight was mine and the boys first time on an air plane (comerical).
Reid was extremely excited
Brady was curious and a bit annoyed at having to sit still.
I was nervous, scared ohmygosh I'm going to pee my pants/pass out/throw up. All at once. right here on this little plane.
we tried sleeping.
once is Portland we rushed to our next plane
5 hours straight
over nothing but water
to Maui Hawaii.
the boys did great on the plane, really they were amazing, Brady slept most of the time and Reid really did well at staying entertained.
Ive determined I'm not a "flyer" i was borderline miserable/nauseous. but i lived, we all survived... and arrived a bazillion hours later in really the most beautiful place on earth.
the first thing i thought off when we loaded off the plane was i cant believe we are here, in Hawaii. and then omygosh its hard to breath, the air is so thick here.
We stayed at the Westin in kanappoli (most likely spelling this wrong)it was a timeshare and right off the beach.
our room was beautiful, the resort was breath taking.
i remember saying at one point, "something needs to not go right cause this all is so perfect i think I'm going to cry"... and i did. i had never been to a place anything like that in my life.
i think we all were in our own personal heavens.
in our week there
we took walks on the beach
played in the pool
went shopping
whale watching
fishing
took a sub ride to the coral reef
experienced our first luau
soaked in as much relaxation as possible
oh and i even took a Yoga class right off the beach. my first Yoga class ever.
We ate a ton of great food!
an amazing cheese burger in paradise
and fish (amazing fish!)
... We took a red eye home on my birthday.
it was possible the worst part of the trip.
but we made it home.
Hawaii is a memory i will have forever, seeing my Reid chase waves, and my Brady float around the Kiddy pool like he owned the place was my high light. and sitting on the beach with branden watching the sunset was one of our most perfect moments.

December 9, 2011
This was my first birthday with two boys. birthdays are big for me. i love em. its that one day that everything is about you (or so it should be). since we had just gotten home from the longest night of our lives (dramatic much?) i opted to stay home. we ordered in. Branden surprised me with one of his special cards (every year he writes in my birthday card, just a simple love note, but its my most favorite thing, since its the only time he does it :0) true story)and then he gave me my gift from him and the boys, a new nook tablet :0)I'm in love, its a must have.

The rest of December flew by, like crazy fast. we got our tree two weeks before Christmas, and did most of our shopping the Thursday before! it was madness and i will never do it again. however, this year was special because it was Brady's first Christmas :0) the boys first Christmas together. and our first Christmas as a family of four.

Resolutions... this coming year has already brought so much change for us. but i want to do it different. In the past i have always wished/prayed for that certain occasion to just come and go so i can jump that hurtle and get to the next. I want to take a break. i want to take each day, month, season as it comes. no rush. this has already proven hard for me to obtain in my current predicament but I'm reminding my self hourly... i don't want to rush anymore, because then I'm left sitting in the dark late at night scrolling threw old pictures wondering when they became so old and where did the time go and really Brady is going to be 1 in less then two months, Reid is about to turn 5 and start kinder garden in the fall. where have i been. Ive been rushing, trying to get to the next thing and missing whats really happening now. no more. this year 2012 is the start of slowing down, God hold me too it :0)

I recently got a newish computer, and all of my pictures are floating around on disks. this post will hopefully be followed by a picture overload shortly, hopefully.

Boys, i love you
